An 18-year-old from Inglewood was arrested at Santa Monica High School last week because police say he trespassed on the campus looking for his underage ex-girlfriend.

He was arrested about lunchtime Friday after the school's police security officer stopped him, and he allegedly tried to pass himself off as a minor. It was reportedly the second day in a row that Sergio Antonio Curiel walked onto campus in search of the girl.

The girl reportedly told police that the relationship had ended, and was fearful of Curiel. He "followed her around from class to class and stole her cell phone until he was finally arrested," the Santa Monica Police Department reported.

Curiel was booked into jail on suspicion of grand theft, stalking and providing false information to police officers.

Beer Locker Break-in: Food was stolen from the concession area at Cirque de Soleil over the weekend. The homeless man arrested in connection with the alleged theft, Tyler Craig Larson, 31, was reportedly spotted "violently" trying to open locked refrigerators, including the beer lockers.

Drunken Cycling: A bicyclist who allegedly hit a motorist Friday afternoon in the 1800 block of Fourth Street reportedly caused quite a scene. Police said he yelled profanities, and allegedly threatened and "charged toward" paramedics. Police alleged the cyclist, Steven Michael Yater, 21, was drunk. They arrested him on suspicion of interfering with and assaulting rescue personnel, threatening police officers, riding a bike under the influence and failing to ride a bike on the right side of the road.

Pot Possession: Police investigating a report of animal cruelty Feb. 2—which turned out to be untrue—arrested a man on suspicion of possessing less than one ounce of marijuana. The officers had received a call about a man choking a small dog in the 300 block of Wilshire, but the dog, who was reported missing, was OK and returned to its owner. Police searched the man, though, and say they found alleged marijuana.
