John Muir Flea Market Ends 23-Year Run

The final sale is April 6.

After 23 years, the first Saturday flea market at John Muir Elementary, which is a fundraiser for the school's Parent Teacher Association, will meet for the last time April 6.

The market has become too costly and labor intensive to run, organizers said in a statement Monday.

The PTA "felt there were other opportunities to raise money for the school that didn't require such a large investment of time and money," the statement read. "They are considering other activities such as a quarterly boutique."
