John Travolta's Car Stolen in SM

Police are investigating the theft of the actor's vintage Mercedes-Benz.

A vintage Mercedes-Benz 280-SL owned by actor John Travolta was stolen on a residential street in Santa Monica on Sunday afternoon, the Los Angeles Times reports. The car is estimated to be worth between $35,000 and $100,000.

The incident reportedly happened around 3:30 p.m. near the 1400 block of Berkeley Street. After parking his 1970 sports car there, Travolta walked to a nearby Jaguar dealership.

When Travolta returned 10 minutes later, the car was gone.

The has classified the incident as a grand theft auto and is investigating.
