I am actually thinking of visiting for a week in August. Just trying to find some good deals onRead Morewher e to stay for that long. Sunday to Sunday so I can take it all in. I found a reasonable Bed & Breakfast Inn in Marina Del Rey...is that pretty close? I was told that is a nice beach area as well. Coming from DC/MD area so I am doing research from a different coast. Mostly going by online stuff so it's a little scary. I appreciate any feedback on this. Good to hear from someone who is actually living there :)

Check out Trip Advisor website for where to stay, reviews & prices. Renting a car will be veryRead Moreh elpful for checking out neighborhoods. Marina Del Rey is very nice, but not centrally located. Nor does it have a lot of public transportation.

I've been here for 62 years. SM used to be a beautiful little retirement village. Today you can noRead Morel onger smell the ocean for the stench of the exhaust from the overcrowded traffic... and they continue to build and build and build into every nook and cranny! The latest is 300 sq ft apartments (? that's a closet to me) that will be renting for 12-1500 a month. Tiny bang for your buck! Prices for everything have skyrocketed in SM so it does make it difficult, but, there's still the ocean...so, if you don't mind living like a sardine and breathing exhaust, "come on down"! If it's not you, it'll be someone else, but the SM slivers (inches of space)WILL be filled by the overly greedy developers who are NOT here gasping for fresh air!!! :)

A great opportunity to buy a Mother's Day gift and support some great non-profit organizations.

PLease notice the eyes- very sad and shut down of the poor ponies as they hang their heads and goRead Morero und and round - cruelly muzzled into the steel bars- the music blasting in their ears- do you know anything about horses/ponies- this is misery for them- let them be hand walked- freely- not used like mill donkeys- as for the petting zoo- these should be banned everywhere- the animals are terrified- the children unsupervised- allow to maul the animals- and the owner must keep breeding and breeding to provide 'babies" for everyone- adult animals aren't interesting enough to keep the market attendance up- the blow off from this city is not acceptable- their watch is not acceptable- not with their record of not overseeing it before in 99 - check it out

Your crazy!!!! And for the record they are loosely tied, we offer rides for 3 1/2 hours one day aRead Morewe ek in the shade, I have 19 ponies so we are able to rotate them some of our ponies do not leave the farm for weeks at a time, we closely supervise all interaction with the animals and have atleast one attendant in the zoo at all times and I do not have any animals under the age of 1 1/2 they are miniature animals!!!!!because I do not believe in over populating the earth :) I am an animal lover and feel it is important for children to be introduced to farm animals. Everyone is entitled to their opinion yours just happens to be uneducated :)

OVER 328 Signatures in less then 22 hours....wow...that is a BIG statement from people who know myRead Moref amily and our animals. I am very THANKFUL however, not surprised we LOVE what we do and know there are many, many families out there that appreciate the work we do. For those of you still on the fence not sure what to think even after watching our video, I have this to say * We have 19 ponies our ponies are all very gentle, loving and special, and we rotate who goes to the market every week. * I do not believe in over populating the world in fact all of my animals at this time are 1 1/2 years or older. There are no babies cowering in corners like Marcy wants you to think. They are happy to interact with kids and parents. * Most of my animals are rescued from auctions, neglectful homes and other pony ride companies that I would be happy to protest against with you !!!! *Our animals are raised doing this, they do not mind loading up in the trailer, * in fact they usually jump in on their own* * We have many animals on our farm, some are retired, some are happy to stay home and some love to go to work, like humans they all have different personalities and needs Still not sure? Please come visit us at the farmers market Sunday from 9-1 feel free to ask questions, but don't be offended if my first priority is to help the kids and keep an eye on our animals!!! I am happy to correspond by email too - tawniangel@gmail.com

These animals are miserable- tethered to steel poles- standing all day- music blasting- in theRead Moreheat- their eyes are shut down - they hand their heads- not even to check out their teeth or hooves- hand walk them- don't tie them cruelly to steel bars half the day - they hate that- and as for the petting zoo- they should all be shut down- terrified babies- cringing from unsupervised children- these are sensitive creatures- not entertainment for your kids- teach them to respect animals- not to exploit them - and who is overseeing this vendor- the same people that did the one who was arrested with dead emaciated animals living in feces in 99 - wake up people- a better form of this must be demanded-

I cringe when I see parents doting on their toddlers....noisy, obnoxious brats, parents taking upRead Moreth e sidewalk with their strollers and their loud baby-talk. what about MY rights? Screw the animals. all domesticated animals are slaves. We either eat them or they look pretty for us. that's their function.
