City Council, Teen Traffic Safety, Black Holes and More

Here are five things to know in Santa Monica today.

1. The City Council meets tonight at 7 p.m. One of the discussions on tonight’s agenda is the ongoing issue of fitness classes in outdoor parks.

2. A traffic safety seminar for teens (and their parents) will take place  tonight hosted by The Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station and the City of Malibu. The free seminar starts at 8 p.m. at  Malibu City Hall 23825 Stuart Ranch Rd, Malibu. Details here.

3. Recharge your job search at the Santa Monica Public Library, this Thursday night from 6:30 – 8 p.m. Learn ways to find the job you want, get your resume noticed in a crowded field, and shine in the interview. Details here.

4. The Santa Monica Museum of Art will host its 21st installment of its award-winning education program Wall Works on Thursday, Oct. 10,  at the museum.  Wall Works: Black Holes is an inspiring look at transforming everyday objects into their interpretation of outer space.  Over 500 students collaborated with artist/architect and designer Laurel Broughton, who is also the creator behind Welcome Projects.  Details here.
