"A Night to Remember 4Ever" Raises Funds for Cancer Support Community Oct. 10

 

Santa Monica, CA, Sept. 2013 -- Members of the Santa Monica and West Los Angeles-based advertising, arts, and media industries have teamed up to produce and present “A Night To Remember 4Ever” – a fundraising event to benefit the Cancer Support Community-Benjamin Center (CSC). Visit:

Located in West Los Angeles, the Cancer Support Community supports all those affected by cancer—patients and caregivers—with a free-of-charge program of group support, individual counseling, mind-body classes, educational workshops and social activities.  From diagnosis through treatment and into recovery, CSC’s services support the whole person and family.  Services are provided in West Los Angeles and at offsite locations throughout greater Los Angeles, including hospitals in the downtown corridor.

“A Night to Remember 4Ever” will be held on Thursday, October 10, 2013, from 6:30 – 9:30 PM at the Lois Lambert Gallery, located at Bergamot Station, 2525 Michigan Ave., Santa Monica, CA, 90404.  The event, which expects to draw over 300 attendees, will feature lite food, a wine bar, a silent and live auction, as well as a live jazz trio led by noted musician Gary Gray. Phil Brock, Chairman of Santa Monica Parks & Recreation, will serve as Master of Ceremonies.

 

Teresa Bond, CEO/President of the Cancer Support Community said, “’Sustained by Community’ is our mission and is the cornerstone of our name.  We are grateful to the broader community of the Westside, the business and the volunteers who are supporting CSC.  I invite all of you, the community, to come out for an incredible night and to support our vision that ‘no one should face cancer alone’.”

 

Event Chairwoman Ellen Knable, founder of EKA Associates/Green Envi, adds, “Our event for the Cancer Support Community is to help build awareness and raise funds for this truly worthy cause. 100% of the proceeds from ‘A Night to Remember 4Ever’ will go to the Cancer Support Community-Benjamin Center.”

The Cancer Support Community – Benjamin Center is at the forefront of patient-centered cancer care.  Incorporating the idea that the body and mind are connected and that psychosocial support is a key element for quality of life and may even help with recovery, CSC has free-of-charge programs for the whole person.
