Wondering how to go about booking a barbeque at , or ? You're come to the right place.
Even though we're mid-way through the summer, the city is still accepting reservations for people to use the group-barbecue areas at those venues. The groups have to consist of fewer than 150 people, though.
If you'd like to use one of the areas, you can request a permit between three and 21 days in advance of your BBQ if you have proof of residency in Santa Monica, or between three and 14 days in advance if you down live in town. If you're a SM resident, the fee is $50; the cost is $75 for non-members.
Get one of the permits, and you'll be able to use one of the BBQ areas anytime between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
To get a permit, go to the Community Recreation office, which is located in the big green building on the north side Clover Park, or call 310.458.8573, ext. 7.
