Boys & Girls Clubs Raise a Record $500K-Plus at Annual Dinner

The annual event also honored a local businessman who donated $1 million to local charities.

The Santa Monica Boys & Girls Clubs raised more than $500,000 at its annual fundraising diner Nov. 1, a record for the organization.

The club’s 38th Annual Auction & Dinner was held at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel to honor businessman Jack Jones, who donated $1 million to the Boys & Girls Clubs and the Community Corporation of Santa Monica.

“We are thrilled that this year’s event raised more than $500,000, the most in auction history, and will allow us to help even more disadvantaged youth in the Los Angeles area,” CEO Aaron Young stated in a press release.
