M1GS Themed Picnic

As we all know May 1st is going to be one Heck of a day! However, there are still a lot of people who don't know or understand what May Day (May 1st) is & why we workers are striking again just over a 100 years later. So on April 28th at Palisades Park at Colorado & Ocean - 11:30 am to 5 pm Occupy Venice will have a potluck picnic. Bring some (non-alcohol) drinks or a dish to share with other picnickers & bring cardboard, t-shirts or bags & poster paint to make M1GS signs or get a free M1GS sign.

Bring any poster/sign accessories: Glitter, foam pieces etc.... Some of the best signs are the ones that grab attention by being creative.

This will be a day for us to charge up our batteries, meet each other & learn what is May Day & why is it important?

M1GS is not a day only for white, Asian, brown, deaf, gay/straight, Vets, men, female, stay at home mom or working sngle parents or disabled - it's a day for ALL of us! It's OUR day! (Everyone's) Worker's Day.
