Why Go: One man's trash is a neighbor's treasure! The city's Office of Sustainability has planned another citywide garage sale. With residents participating across the city, there's undoubtedly good deals happening near you.

THE INTERNATIONAL CHOCOLATE SALON

Where/When: Santa Monica Civic Auditorium; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday

Why Go: Indulge your chocolate cravings at this 6th annual sweet event where you can participate in tastings, demonstrations and panels. Oh, I mentioned the chocolate tastings, right?

Pricing: Tickets available online here only; $20-$25 adult tickets, $10 children 6-12 tickets, free for children under 6.

• TO GET A HEARTY LAUGH

WESTSIDE LAUGH PARTY

Where/When: Westside Comedy Center; 8-10 p.m. Thursday

Why Go: Get your funny bone tickled at this event where you’ll be kept laughing by the comedic stylings of such well-known comedians as Rob Delaney, Carrie Clifford, Brody Stevens and Dennis Gubbins.
