National Boss Day, Feral Cat Photography Exhibit

Here are five things to know in Santa Monica today:

1. Wednesday is National Boss Day. What do you plan to do for your boss to celebrate the holiday? Tell us in the comments.

2. There will be a Feral Cat Photography exhibit at 6 p.m. on Wednesday in celebration of National Feral Cat Day. The exhibit will take place at Bergamot Station, Writer's Boot Camp located at 2525 Michigan Ave. There will also be a community cat photo contest as part of the exhibit. 3. Marta McDowell, author of the book, Beatrix Potter’s Gardening Life, is scheduled to speak at 7 p.m. on Thursday, October 17, in the Santa Monica Public Library’s MLK Jr. Auditorium located at 601 Santa Monica Blvd. For more information about the free event, call (310)458-8600, or visit the library online.
