The Los Angeles Times featured old photos from the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium Sunday, harkening back to days when it hosted the Beach Boys, David Bowie and the Academy Awards.
The Civic went dark, with limited operations on June 30. The city is working on a long term plan to restore it.
