Popular Holiday Pub Crawl Returns Dec. 15

Mark you calendars for Fourth Annual Santa Monica Pub Crawl. Dozens of restaurants and bars will offer drink and food specials to raise money for the Westside Food Bank.

Twenty-five bars and restaurants will participate in this year's Santa Monica Pub Crawl, a popular fundraiser for the Westside Food Bank.

The fourth annual event is 5 p.m. Dec. 15. Tickets are $10.

The tickets allow access to the food and drink specials at participating bars and restaurants, and are available for purchase at santamonicapubcrawl.com. Participants will receive a pub crawl wristband that also allows admission into the event's official after party and enters them into a raffle for a chance to win prizes from local businesses.

Last year, more than 5,000 Southern Californians—many dressed in Santa Clause, reindeer and elf costumes—raised enough money to cover the costs of about 70,000 meals for the needy, organizers said.

"We always look forward to the return of the SANTA Monica Pub Crawl," Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce President Laurel Rosen said in a press release. "This event has quickly become one of the busiest nights of the year for our local businesses and proceeds benefit a great cause for families during the holidays."

Organizes recommend purchasing tickets in advance to avoid long lines. They are also available at starting locations.

No designated driver? The Big Blue Bus is selling unlimited passes for $4 on the pub crawl web site. Yellow Cab will donate a portion of all of its proceeds from the night to the Westside Food Bank.

The Westside Food Bank will accept canned food donations through December at 1710 22nd St. in Santa Monica.
