Santa Monica Pier Offering Free Run + Yoga Classes

Saturday mornings at the pier promise "no-judgment" environment with local instructors leading short runs and yoga classes.

The Santa Monica Pier is offering free run and yoga sessions Saturday mornings this spring through March 30. The "Roga" sessions start this Saturday.

The pier's new active lifestyle team promises an "inclusive, no judgment" environment led by Santa Monica instructors.

All of the details are on the Santa Monica Pier Facebook page, but here's the most important info: runs are at 8 a.m. and start under the pier sign and yoga is at 9 a.m. at the far west end of the pier near Mariasol’s.

All experiences levels are welcome in both classes. "No one will look at you sideways if you need to take a breather," the event page says. "Just bring a towel or a mat and come get fit with some low-key locals."
