Santa Monica's Fanciest (aka Priciest) New Year's Eve Parties

Ring in the New Year at one of the swanky events planned at Santa Monica's hottest bars, restaurants and hotels.

There's no better holiday than New Year's Eve to get dolled up, dine on fine fare and dance the night away. In Santa Monica, here's where to find the glitziest and hippest soirees.

  1. A chauffeur to the Shangri-La | $400 (for two): A town car will pick you and your date up, then sweep you over to the hotel. A prix fixe dinner and a bottle of wine will await in the ocean-view Dining Room. After dessert, for an extra $75, saunter over to the hotel's rooftop bar, Suite 700.
  2. Seven-course Tasting Menu at The Misfit | $380 (for two): Tickets for two to one of Santa Monica's trendiest downtown restaurants includes a seven-course chef's tasting menu, three drinks of your choice, a champagne toast and live DJ. To make a reservation, click here.
  3. Beachy Black and White Ball at The Viceroy | $175: KCRW DJs Jason Bentley, Anthony Valadez and Valida will spin poolside at the chic beach hotel. Two other big perks: a hosted bar and hor d'eurves from Whist's Executive Chef Tony DiSalva.
  4. Black Tie Dance Party at The Bungalow | $150: Premier DJ Kelly Cole will be the star of this event at Brent Bolthouse's new "beachfront hideaway" at the Fairmont Miramar Hotel. The party will also feature an open bar from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m. For tickets, click here.
