Sawtelle Boulevard To Close Next Week
The nine-day road closure beginning Aug. 21 is a result of construction for the upcoming Expo line.
Both north and southbound lanes of Sawtelle Boulevard will be closed between Exposition and Pico Boulevards from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. from Aug. 21-30. Construction crews will be working across from Sawtelle Boulevard along the Expo Row, installing bridge falsework.
Sawtelle Boulevard Detours
- Southbound traffic will be detoured at Pico Boulevard.
- Northbound traffic on Sawtelle Boulevard will be detoured at Exposition Boulevard.
Pedestrian access will not be affected by the road closure. The Expo Construction Authority said noise levels will be monitored to ensure necessary compliance to noise levels.
