Tech 'Geeks' Strut for Budding Entrepreneurs

"Geek to Chic" charity fashion show at Bloomingdale's in Santa Monica benefits high school students in low income communities.

In bold colored pants, blazers and cardigans, tech industry entrepreneurs stepped out from their cubicles and onto the catwalk for an intimate charity fashion show Thursday to benefit a program that teaches business smarts to at-risk high schoolers.

A collaboration between Microsfot and Bloomingdale's, the "Geek 2 Chic" runway at the department store in Santa Monica featured models from the Huffington Post Media Group, United Talent Artists, CitySourced and eHarmony, and was emceed by Shira Lazar, founder of What's Trending.

"Fittingly, a few of the tech-minded models could not help but digitize their runway debuts," Vanity Fair reported on its "The Hollywood Blog."
