Warm Temps on the Way in Santa Monica

The heat is likely to last through the Fourth of July holiday.

A high pressure system will bring temperatures into the mid-80s by this weekend in Santa Monica, according to the National Weather Service.

Temperatures are expected to reach from the low 90s to over the century mark by Saturday inland, with slightly cooler temps in the high 70s to mid 80s along the coast, forecasters said.

A marine layer will likely last through at least 11 a.m. daily before burning off, according to the NWS. The heat is likely to last through the Fourth of July holiday.

Fire danger will also be on the rise in the Santa Monica Mountains.
