Electro-pop Concert This Weekend on the Pier

Saturday's "All Bands on Deck" concert will feature Chris Baio of Vampire Weekend, Yacht, and Poolside.

The first concert from Rum & Humble and Spaceland Productions—the hip team programming shows this year at the Santa Monica Pier—is on the calendar for Saturday, March 30.

"All Bands on Deck" is the debut concert featuring a couple of lesser-known electropop bands and DJ Chris Baio of Vampire Weekend. The two other main acts are Portland-based YACHT and funkier Poolside, which is making its rounds in the Los Angeles music scene.

Rum & Humble's Martin Fleischmann said each of the acts fits into an "aesthetic, sonically and otherwise, that jibes perfectly with the Pier's convivial seaside atmosphere."

"They are popular with one of the demographic groups that we would like to see more of on the Pier," he said.

The targeted demographic? Locals in their mid-20s to mid-30s. 

"All HBnds on Deck" is 4 p.m. March 30. Tickets, which are on sale now, start at $10 and go up to $30.

Kisses, Guns in the Sun DJs, and KCRW DJ Mario Cotto are also on the line-up.
