"Amahl and The Night Visitors” an one-act Holiday Opera

  Pacific Lyric Association is proud to present the one-act Holiday Opera "Amahl and The Night Visitors” by Gian Carlo Menotti that will take place at the Santa Monica First Presbyterian Church located at 1220 2nd Street, Santa Monica, CA 90401 on December 16 and 17 at 7:00 pm. "Amahl and the Night Visitors" was the first opera specifically composed for television in America and was performed by the NBC Opera Theatre on December 24, 1951, in New York City at NBC studio 8H in Rockefeller Center, where it was broadcast live on television as the debut production of the Hallmark Hall of Fame.  Please join us in the beautiful concert space of The First Presbyterian Church of Santa Monica, located downtown and within blocks of the beach, 3rd Street Promenade, Santa Monica Place and Santa Monica Pier. To cap this unforgettable evening, Pacific Lyric Association would like to extend all patrons an invitation to our after-concert reception featuring wine, beverages and dessert on the church's adjacent  courtyard.
