Brad Garrett (“Everybody Loves Raymond”) to Lead Sitcom Intensive Class at The Acting Studio at Edgemar Center for the Arts

            Actor/comedian Brad Garrett will teach a two-day Sitcom Intensive at The Acting Studio at Edgemar Center for the Arts on March 6th and 7th from 6 pm to 11 pm.  Students will be led through all aspects of comedy and learn what it takes to develop great comedic instincts while exploring topics such as cold reading, auditioning technique, character development, script breakdown and analysis.

            Garrett became a stand-up comedian after winning “Star Search.” He starred as Robert Barone on “Everybody Loves Raymond” and as Eddie Stark on “’Til Death.” He won three Emmy ® Awards and a SAG Award for his role on “Everybody Loves Raymond.”   Garrett is also one of busiest voice-over talents in Hollywood and starred in the Broadway revival of “The Odd Couple.”

Background

Michelle Danner and Larry Moss founded Edgemar Center for the Arts, a two-theatre and art gallery complex in 2000. The Larry Moss Studio has been housed at Edgemar since the cutting of the ribbon in 2002 and has flourished and grown into what is now The Acting Studio at Edgemar.
