Malibu Civic Ballet Stages Local Production of THE RED SHOES

The Malibu Performing Arts Society Presents the Malibu Civic Ballet in the Premiere of the ballet adaptation of the Hans Christian Anderson fairy tale THE RED SHOES, directed and choreographed by Diane Linder.  Malibu’s local production is cast with Malibu’s own young dancers and supports the local arts community.

Directed by Diane Linder, Artistic Director.  Her performance career includes many years as a principal dancer with the Gene Marinaccio American Concert Ballet Company.  After serving as artistic director of her own studio for 15 years, Diane joined the faculty at Pepperdine University and directed their dance department. She has choreographed the premiere of an original ballet, “Elizabeth and The Lieutenant”, as well as the annual performance of “The Nutcracker” for the Malibu Civic Ballet.

Principal cast: The Malibu Civic Ballet (in alphabetical order): Paige Ceylon, Allison Ciongoli, Taylor Colby, Dana Devitt, Ali Gilliams, Samantha Gilliams, Gabriella Grahek, Chelsea Montgomery-Duban, Kaitlin Moore, Thea Percival, Sadie Sandoval, and Nikki Visser (alumna guest artist).
