Spot Surfing Santa On His Beach Cruiser For A Chance To Win Great Prizes And Special Prize Coded Beach Balls At Holiday Events And Local Farmers Markets

Santa Monica Convention and Visitors Bureau (SMCVB), has enlisted the help of Surfing Santa this holiday season to spread good cheer and fun prizes to residents and visitors that have downloaded the new official destination Santa Monica mobile app for their iPhone, iPod Touch or Android devices.

Beginning December 3 and continuing through December 22, Santa Monica's own Surfing Santa can be spotted on his beach cruiser at numerous community events including special surfer appearances at Santa Monica holiday events, farmer's markets and local pubs as part of the official Santa Monica pub crawl.

Residents and visitors that spot Surfing Santa and show him that the Santa Monica mobile app has been downloaded on their iPhone, iPod Touch or Android will instantly win a Santa Monica beach ball – some of Surfing Santa's elves have written special prizes on a select number of beach balls, meaning a few lucky participants have a chance to win staycation packages, beach cruisers, iPhones, iPads, free dinners, shopping sprees and more Santa Monica tailored prizes.

Easily downloaded on iTunes or at the Android Market, and just in time for those holiday visitors and family outings, the free Santa Monica mobile app is the Official GeoGuide of Santa Monica. Designed for use by both residents and visitors, the app provides users with location-specific information about local happy hour venues and specials, arts and culture, attractions, restaurants and shopping, nightlife information and more.

In addition, app users can read restaurant and hotel reviews, find their final destination using customized maps and access up-to-date information on discounts and promotions being offered by Santa Monica business.
