VIP Screening of the documentary, Twittamentary

On June 26, 2012, we are holding V.I.P. Screening of "Twittamentary" from Director Tan Siok Siok. What's more we are donating all the proceeds from our ticket sales to benefit Invisible People TV, a homeless advocacy non-profit headed by Mark Horvath (@hardlynormal), who features prominently in the film. For those of you who saw a rough cut of this documentary at last year's SMCLA meetup, you'll know it's a unique and insightful take on how Twitter is changing our lives and we invite you to see it again in its final finished version and help support the amazing work of Horvath. For those who have yet to see it, you must! Some of the most powerful and moving moments take place in Chicago as we follow Mark around as he interacts with the city's homeless. And we meet a homeless woman, Ann Marie Walsh (@padschicago) who uses Twitter as her window to freedom. You don't want to miss the rest of Siok Siok's whirlwind tour across the United States where she discovers and documents the effects of the social media on a wide range of walks of life. Plus, featured in the film, in addition to Mark, are some of our local social media members including: • @adventuregirl - Stephanie Michaels, Travel Journalist • @fuzheado - Andrew Lih, Journalism Professor USC • @Mika_Tan - Mika Tan, Adult Film Star • @MarshaCollier - Marsha Collier, Author • @HeatherMeeker - Heather Meeker, Marketing Professional After the screening you will be able to participate in a Q & A with Siok Siok about the film and with Mark Horvath to hear about his last road trip and the impact Invisible People is having across America and Canada too. So please open your heart and your pocketbooks and join as the magnificent newly opened CrossCampus co-working space in Santa Monica and all profits from this event will be donated directly to InvisiblePeople.tv (@invisiblepeople). Learn more at: invisiblepeople.tv & www.twittamentary.com Special thanks to our venue sponsor, CrossCampus, beautiful co-working event space.
