Thanks for stopping by the latest Grab & Go Kids Planner; it’s filled with the top family-friendly activities that are right in your neck of the woods (or at the very least, a super-short car ride away).
This week, we’ve got animals of the zoo and balloon show, as well as an event fit for a princess.
Ooh—did you hear of a current event that is the epitome of fun? Know of one in the pipeline? By all means (although by way of the comment box is easiest), let us know of the details. Event fail: Did we suggest one that caused tantrums of epic proportions? Fill us in on our giant error as well—we at Patch always want to hear from you!
Family Best Bets of the Week
• REAL PRINCESS STORY TIME
Where/When: Books and Cookies; Tuesdays at 2:30 p.m.
Why Go: Awaken your daughter’s inner princess (if it hasn’t already been unleashed, that is) with this 45-minute activity filled with princess-themed stories, face painting, crafts and snacks.
Pricing: $20 per child
• BUSTER BALLOON SHOW
Where/When: ; Tuesday, 2:30 p.m.
Why Go: People fall into two categories: those who simply despise balloon animals and those who adore them. If you and your family belong to the latter group, then you’ll love this event, which is filled with those colorful inflatable creatures.
• MUSIC IN THE LA ZOO
Where/When: Los Angeles Zoo; Thursday, 6 to 9 p.m.
Why Go: What could possibly make the zoo better? No, no, not the animals singing and dancing (although that would be pretty dang cool). How about the zoo at night? With bands covering the songs of such great bands as U2, The Beatles, The Doors and The Grateful Dead? Now that’s cool.
Pricing: 5 and under, free; $11, ages 6-15; $17, ages 16 and up
