Grab & Go Kids Planner: 'Kung Fu,' Fair

We've got events to keep your little Jedi entertained in this week's planner.

Welcome to the latest Grab & Go Kids Planner, busy parents. We here at Patch saved you some time by searching out the top family-friendly activities so you have more time for another round of Candyland with your family. So go ahead, grab the planner and go have fun.

Ooh—did you hear of an awesome event in the pipeline? An even better one going on currently? By all means (although the comment box is most convenient) let us know all the important details, so we can participate. Event fail: Did we suggest an event that caused tears instead of cheers? Let us know of our mistake as well. We at Patch always want to hear from you!

Family Best Bets of the Week

LA COUNTY FAIR

Where/When: Pomona Fairground; Saturday through Oct. 2

Why Go: If the lure of chocolate-dipped bacon and deep-fried Kool Aid isn’t enough to bring you to the fair, then perhaps the promise of prize-winning pumpkins or cute baby animals is?

PRESCHOOL STORY TIME

Why Go: Preschool is out, but that isn’t a reason to let your preschooler forget all they learned over the school year.
