Moms Talk: Halloween Costumes
With Halloween lurking around the bend, we want to know how you're planning your child's costume.
Halloween is just around the corner, which means it's time to begin the costume preparations. And those preparations themselves can be tricky if you’ve got kids.
After all, it may tough to pin them down on one costume idea. For example, in my house, it was ping-pong between Minnie Mouse and a bunny for awhile. (The mouse ultimately prevailed.) So going ahead with a costume only to have your child declare a few days later that she or he wants to go as a doctor/whoopee cushion/ fairy princess/ animated-figure currently popular-among-children-of-a-certain-age carries certain risks.
Once the costume idea is set in stone, other choices need to be decided. To buy or to make? Is it appropriate? Is it safe to walk around in? Comfy? Warm?
