St. Monica Music Ministry Releases Album in Memory of Jean and Scott Adam

Also, part of the parish's new campus will reportedly be named after the parishioners, who were killed by pirates last month.

The Music Ministry has released a digital album in the memory of Jean and Scott Adam, according to the church. Servants of Peace: For Jean & Scott was made available on Ash Wednesday (March 9) via Amazon.com and iTunes.

The couple were off the coast of Somalia. They were active members at St. Monica, and Jean Scott was a member of the church choir.

"This compilation album honors the missionary work of our parishioners Jean and Scott Adam," the church said in a statement. "Both music and outreach were very important to them."

Money raised from the sales of the album will help fund the Community Center Music Ministry Suite that will be built on the church's new campus. Construction for the large-scale project is due to begin in June.

The 10-track album contains selections by choirs at St. Monica, including "I Will Rise (Live)" and "You Hold My World (Live)" by the choir that sings at the 5:30 p.m. Mass on Sunday; "Give Us Your Peace" by Monica's Joy Youth Choir; "From the Hand of the Angel (Live)" by multiple choirs; and "Make Me a Channel of Your Peace (Live)" by multiple choirs and Michelle Crenshaw.
