Trombone Shorty Concert at Santa Monica Pier Thursday Night

This week's performers at Santa Monica Pier's twilight concert series are Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, along with The Dustbowl Revival.

Ready to get your groove on? Thursday night’s 7 p.m. concert at the Santa Monica Pier features Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue, who released their Grammy®-nominated debut album, Backatown, in 2010.

Since Backatown’s release, Trombone Shorty & Orleans Avenue have toured nonstop in North America, the U.K., Brazil, Japan, Europe and Australia. In December of 2010, Andrews drew accolades as musical director of “Red Hot + New Orleans” at BAM.

Also on stage will be The Dustbowl Revival, a Venice-based band that merges old school bluegrass, gospel, jug band, swamp blues and 1930s hot swing.
