2 New Restaurants Coming to Main Street

Fork in the Road is replacing Naresh's and Venice's Italian hot spot Piccolo is opening as Teatro Ristorante at the former Powerhouse Theatre.

Two vacant buildings on Main Street will spring back to life again with new restaurants, one of them as a new incarnation of one of Los Angeles' best Italian eateries.

Public notices from the state Alcohol and Beverage Control are posted at the shuttered Powerhouse Theatre on Second Street and at the former home of Naresh's, an Indian-fusion tapas bar on Main Street and Hollister Avenue.

The theater, which hosted its final performance in the fall of 2011, will be replaced by an Italian restaurant, Teatro Ristorante. The Main Street spot will become Fork in the Road, according to the notices.
