Headed our way is a new bike store, Jax Bicycle Center, in the former Blockbuster video in the Laguna Niguel Marketplace. A large sign on the window shop states it will open in February and was established in 1971.

Other changes include newcomer which opened in the fall in Plaza De La Laz. The eatery has a new owner, Centerbridge, a private equity company, which bought the P.F. Chang's chain including Pei Wei, according to Gerry Flanigan, vice president of real estate with the Horowitz Group, which owns the center

In the same plaza, after much delay the Veggie Grill appears to have started construction right next door to Pei Wei as a large dumpster has been stationed beside the space.

Another restaurant that has applied for change of ownership is Good Sushi next to Albertsons on Golden Lantern.

Did you notice we have several bike shops and many recent opened eateries in Laguna Niguel... A few years ago, San Juan Capistrano stopped offering business permits to future fast food establishments.
