Great Escape: Movies on the Deck

We bring the manic down on Monday with a series of indie films.

A wise prophet once openly preferred Sunday to Monday, stating that Monday was far too manic for her taste. Actually, I believe it was Susanna Hoffs of The Bangles. Still, I think we all feel that way sometimes.

The fine folks at offer a way for Monday to lose a bit of its bum rap with "Movies on the Deck." For their Monday series (which runs through May 30), independent films are showcased, so you can catch new favorite The Kids Are Alright or past beloved Harold and Maude. All the movies start at 7 p.m., so your night out doesn’t have to leave feeling drained the next day—but still starts late enough that don’t feel old.

Grab a bite of yummy food from any of the restaurants (there are over fifteen) and enjoy the show! Oh no—want to see Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon again but there isn’t anyone to watch the kids? Check out BabySitterSantaMonica.com!
