Hummus Bar and Grill Express Now Open
The new Third Street Promenade eatery opened Friday.

Third Street Promenade's newest eatery—Hummus Bar and Grill Express—opened 10 a.m. Friday at what was formerly Yangtze's.
Patch got a glimpse of the new interior on Thursday, which looks sleek and modern.

The original hummus bar is in Tarzana. The menu there includes big, fluffy pita bread, an array of salads—spicy eggplant, warm mushroom and beets—hummus and grilled meats. Yelp reviewers give the spot an average of four out of five stars and rave about the "killer hummus and laffa." Some gripe about the prices, which appear to be on par with most Santa Monica restaurants.
