Patch Picks: Top 5 Father's Day Meal Specials in Santa Monica:

1. Brunch: This one will be bittersweet, as the trattoria is after Sunday. As usual, the Smooth Jazz Sunday Brunch will be served from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., with sounds from 94.7 the Wave providing the backdrop, and the cost is $49.95 for adults and $21.95 for kids under 10. The massive menu includes 13 cold antipastis (octopus salad, beet and goat cheese salad); a wide array of meats, fish, pizzas and salads (roasted leg of beef, salmon crostini); hot and chilled seafood (chilled king crab legs, mussels in tomato broth); breakfast favorites (omelettes, waffles); and 16 desserts (chocolate budino, zuppa inglaise). Enjoy it while it lasts.

2. Father’s Day Special: There's no need to venture across the pond when you can walk a block from the water to get a taste of Britain. And if you're looking to save a buck or two, this could be your best bet. Starting at noon, the restaurant will serve a roast dinner—beef or lamb—specially made for dads. The cheap fee is $15.95 (a pint of beer costs extra, though).
