Clock Tower Sells for $34.3 Million

Sorgente Group of America plans to conserve the cultural landmark in downtown Santa Monica.

The Santa Monica Clock Tower was sold for $34.3 million to the Sorgente Group of America, which plans to conserve the cultural landmark, according to reports.

The 53,465-square-foot, Art Deco style office building is 12 stories and was built in 1929, Costar.com reported.

“Our primary reason for purchase is to conserve this cultural landmark and further ensure the tower remains prominent to Santa Monica, as it always has been,” Veronica Mainetti, president of Sorgente Group of America, told Costar.com.
