SM Ford President Assuming Role of Chamber of Commerce Board Chairman

The chamber will also install a new board of directors on Thursday night.

The will introduce a new chairman of the board, along with a new board of directors, at its 86th annual Installation Dinner on Thursday night.

President Ron Davis will assume the role of chairman, replacing Tom Neary. Davis is also on the Board, the Associate Board, the Santa Monica Symphony Board, the Santa Monica Rotary Club and the YMCA Associate Board.

"I look forward to the opportunity to bring my knowledge and abilities to the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce,” he said in a statement.

The new board members are Brad Cox of Trammell Crow Company; Richard Lawrence of National Bank of California; Susan Inwood of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney; Mary Ann Powell of ; Susan Gabriel Potter of ; Ellis O'Connor of ; and Dave Nelson of .

Also at the dinner, which will be held from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at the Fairmont Miramar, Powell will receive the Roy E. Naylor Award for Lifetime Achievement. The hotel will be presented with the Bob Gabriel Business and Community Award.
