Here are some places to be this weekend, if you're on the prowl for a new home in SM.

On the hunt for a new house? Here are a handful of Santa Monica properties that will be having open houses on Saturday and Sunday, according to Realtor.com.

2907 Urban Ave., Santa Monica, Calif. 90404: A four-bed, three-bathroom, single-family home, this was built in 1948 and has a tree-top view. It is, however, within a stone's throw of the 10 Freeway. A detached garage and central heating are among the features included with the house, which is going for $1,118,000. 335 24th St., Santa Monica, Calif. 90402: Framed by fountains and gardens, this gated home has a sharply reduced price of $3,500,000. 1622 Franklin St., Santa Monica, Calif. 90404: This open house is also Sunday only, although from noon to 4 p.m. At a reduced price of $1,599,000, this 3,400-square-foot house has two units and, unusually, is exempt from rent control.
