SM Businesses 'Putting' Up Special Offers for Northern Trust Open

It's almost tee time: From Tuesday through Feb. 20, the 85th Northern Trust Open will be held at the Riviera Country Club. While the course is located in the Pacific Palisades, Santa Monica businesses are hoping to attract PGA Tour golfers and their staff members and families, as well as golf fans.

Restaurants, hotels, retailers and other local businesses are invited to display special welcome placards that are being distributed by the Santa Monica Convention & Visitors Bureau. The placards, which are intended to indicate the businesses' affiliation with and/or affinity for the Northern Trust Open, are available at the .

In concert with the tournament, businesses are providing special offers. Examples include a free margarita at ; a $10 discount at Paint:Lab (with a purchase of two painting sessions for adults); and two-for-one offers at and The Dog Walker (for those who happen to be accompanied by canines).

Beyond the special offers, the will provide shuttle service from the parking structure to the Riviera Country Club on Feb. 19 and 20.
