Tesla Model S Demonstration this Weekend

The motor company is offering test drives of its all-electric luxury vehicle to prospective customers.

If you’ve ever wanted to test drive the Tesla Model S, the luxury all-electric vehicle, now you can. Until Sunday, Tesla Third Street Promenade, 1227 Third Street Promenade, is offering prospective customers a 15-minute test drive along a predetermined route. The route is designed to highlight the capabilities of the Model S, according to Tesla Motors.

Tesla Motors have been having a rough time with its Model S lately. In the past two months, three of its cars have caught fire after an accident, the latest happened on Thursday in Tennessee, but representatives for the company were quick to point out that none of the fires occurred in undamaged Model S.

Each year about 6,000 passenger cars caught fire after an accident, according to the National Fire Protection Association.

To test drive the car, you must make an appointment between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. A Tesla representative will accompany you during the test drive and you may bring up to three friends for the test drive. To make an appointment to test drive the Model S, click here.
