Yogurtland is shooting for a mid-February opening date for its newest Santa Monica location just off the Third Street Promenade, a spokeswoman tells Patch.
It looks like a remodel is finally underway at the new location, formerly home to Jamba Juice, on the south side of Santa Monica Boulevard.
The same can be said for ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen, the Asian-inspired restaurant by Chipotle Mexican Grill that's slated to open next-door to Yogurtland in mid-May.
This will be the third ShopHouse location, and the first in Los Angeles. The first two restaurants are in Washington DC.
The fast-food joint, which is taking over the former La Salsa space at the corner of Santa Monica and Third Street, will apparently sell beer and wine. A notice that its owners are applying for an alcohol license is posted outside.

ShopHouse follows the same model as Chipotle, according to an October press release. Customers choose from rices and noodles then add grilled chicken satay or steak laab, pork and chicken meatballs, or organic tofu. There's also a choice of vegetables, curries and sauces, herbs and toppings.
"People are liking the flavors and textures of Southeast Asian food, and we think Los Angeles will be a great market for us,” Chipotle's founder and co-CEO Steve Ells said in the press release.
