Blog: New Line-Up at Santa Monica Sports Experience

Looking for something for your kids to do this summer? Give one of CREST's convenient and affordable City Camps a try! Full- and half-day camps are offered for youth ages 8-14.

The City's Santa Monica Sports Experience promises an action-packed summer, offering a different, highlighted sport or organized game each week.  The summer camp season kicks off June 12 with a tennis-racquet baseball theme that is sure to hit a homerun with kids ages 8 - 14 years old. Week 2 (June 17 -21) will keep your children moving with many activities and skills workshops focusing on soccer. The annual Pinewood Derby Race where participants can design, build and race their own car will be offered in Week 7 (July 22-26). Additional weekly themes are virtual sports gaming, lacrosse, black-top hockey, dodge ball and more.  Both full- or half-day options are available at John Adams Middle School.  If your kids are attending SMMUSD's Summer Adventure at Will Rogers or JAMS, you can enroll your child in Sports Experience's half-day option from 12:45-5 p.m.

For your 4th or 5th grader who is attending summer school, there is an afternoon Wrap-Around Camp which provides a fun, summer camp experience at McKinley Elementary School.  Participants stay onsite and easily transition from their summer school classrooms to a half-day camp featuring sports, games and special events.

Camp Santa Monica at Virginia Avenue Park offers four innovative specialty groups that will give your child the opportunity to explore his or her own personal interests.  Campers can sign up for a week of Art Extravaganza, Fit & Fun, Science Solvers or the ever popular, Water Adventures where the name of the game is getting wet!
