Blog | Visit the Third Street Promenade, Now on Facebook

Third Street Promenade is getting its own Facebook page. The page will feature news about events on the Promenade, along with info about your favorite stores, restaurants, street performers and more.

Third Street Promenade is one of the world’s most well-known shopping destinations, as popular with visitors as Beverly Hills’ Rodeo Drive and Manhattan’s Fifth Avenue. It has its own distinct personality and vibe, unique to Southern California and the beach community that surrounds it.  With such a distinguished persona, the folks at Downtown Santa Monica, Inc. (DTSM) decided it was time the street had its own official Facebook presence and have created a page dedicated just to the Third Street Promenade— facebook.com/ThirdStreetPromenade.

The new Facebook page will update the community on all kinds of news exclusive to the bustling pedestrian thoroughfare. It will be the go-to source for information on sales and unique happenings, restaurant specials and street performers, filmings and special promotions, and much, much more. Also featured will be news about DTSM-sponsored community events, such as the popular Cinema on the Street Series and the brand new Santa Monica Flower Festival (coming next spring).

“Although our Downtown Santa Monica Facebook page is very popular with fans around the world, we realized the Third Street Promenade needed its own social media presence,” said Cheryl Bagby, Digital Marketing Manager, DTSM. “The Downtown Santa Monica page will focus on bigger picture news about Downtown as a whole, but the Third Street Promenade page will keep folks up to date on everything they love about their favorite street. With great photos and fun posts, it will be an entertaining place to get your Promenade fix on days when you can’t come to visit in person!”
