Two small earthquakes—measuring 2.3 and 4.0—struck in the Pacific Ocean off the Malibu coast Tuesday night, shaking the Westside for less than a minute.
The earthquakes were recorded two minutes apart at 10:12 and 10:14 p.m, about 30 miles south of Malibu.
Light rumbling was felt in Zuma Beach, Malibu Canyon, West Los Angeles, Westwood, Marina Del Rey, Culver City and Santa Monica.
There were no immediate reports of damage or injuries, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman Matt Spence.
A magnitude 1.8 quake also struck at 10:02 p.m., just 5 miles west of Manhattan Beach.
