405 Closures Scheduled for Saturday

Sepulveda and Wilshire boulevards will close Saturday night while Southern California Edison removes overhead power lines.

Sepulveda and Wilshire boulevards near the 405 Freeway will see closures on Saturday night while Souther California Edison removes its overhead power lines, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

Sepulveda Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in both directions between Ohio and Constitution avenues starting at 9 p.m. and Wilshire Boulevard will be completely shut down between Veteran and Federal avenues beginning at 11 p.m.

All Wilshire Boulevard ramps will be closed at 11 p.m.

Closures are scheduled through 11 a.m. Sunday.

Additionally, the southbound offramp will be closed for the next two consecutive weekends beginning Friday night while crews pave the roadway on the west side of the Skirball Bridge, according to Metro.

The closures will be in effect from 7 p.m. Friday to 6 a.m. on Monday and will occur again June 22-25.
