  • Those keeping tabs on city initiatives are probably aware that Santa Monica is attempting to achieve by 2020. Those who aren't may want to check out a related discussion being hosted by the League of Women Voters of Santa Monica. Water Resource Manager Gil Borboa, Senior Environmental Analyst Neal Shapiro and Water Resource Specialist Kim O’Cain will talk about the topic starting at 7 p.m. in Room 100B at the .

  • Musicians who play in Michael Bublé's backing band will set up their gear in the lobby for the next four Thursday nights, with a different guest singer joining them each time. For the first edition of the "Live Well at the Casa" series, Melissa Morgan will tackle numbers by Joni Mitchell and Nancy Wilson. The performance runs from 7 to 11 p.m.

Other Happenings

  • Antique enthusiasts are in for a treat today, as the Los Angeles Antique Show launches at at 11 a.m. Sixty national and international exhibitors will participate in the event, which runs through Sunday. Admission is $20.
  • If investments are your thing, don't miss the "Party! Mingle! Invest in Good!" gathering happening at the at . Drinks and hors d’oeuvres will be served as InVenture celebrates its one-year anniversary and flaunts its new Web site. Music is on the program as well. Tickets are $25, five bucks less in advance and cheaper for students.
  • The 's "In Case You Missed It Film Series" continues today with a screening of Babies from 2 to 3:45 p.m. The documentary follows four children from across the world as they go from ages zero to 1. The film viewing is free, of course.
