Santa Monica is bracing for the . Plans are in place to open Santa Monica’s Emergency Operations Center, which will coordinate with the city’s response during the freeway closure. The city is encouraging residents to in Santa Monica, and take advantage of the slew of related discounts. And the has reserved nearly 250 double-occupancy rooms for its staff, according to City News Service.
