Bulger Awaiting Arraignment in Massachusetts
The alleged gangster who was arrested in Santa Monica is being held in Plymouth County, MA.
Alleged Boston gangster James "Whitey" Bulger is being housed at Plymouth County Correctional Facility in Massachusetts while awaiting his arraignment on 19 murders.
The tip that led the FBI to his whereabouts came from an Icelandic woman who lives part time in Santa Monica, according to Boston television station WCVB.
Bulger, 81, appeared before a federal judge Friday in Boston on a bail hearing after being caught in Santa Monica by federal investigators. The alleged crime boss was living with his longtime girlfriend, Catherine Greig, 60.

Plymouth County, as the only prison in Massachusetts to house federal inmates, will be Bulger's home until at least his arraignment. The sheriff's department has not confirmed Bulger's arrival.
State police cruisers and U.S. marshals delivered Bulger to Plymouth.
