City officials will lead residents on a bus excursion to detail how construction is transforming the streets of Santa Monica. The tour begins 9 a.m. at the .
Participants will hop on the Big Blue Bus to visit streets undergoing beautification and environmentally-friendly enhancements. Tour guides will give details and answer questions about the projects such as the Expo light rail line's three station stops.
The tour is part of the city's "Be Excited, Be Prepared" construction campaign, which is aimed at keeping residents informed about ongoing renovations.
It was organized by the city managers office, cultural services and public works departments.
