Golden Globes to Cause Road Closures Sunday

North Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Wilshire Boulevard and Century Park East from about 9 a.m. to midnight.

If you're venturing outside of the Westside Sunday, be advised that streets will be closed Sunday for the 69th annual Golden Globe Awards, being held from 5-8 p.m. at the . 

North Santa Monica Boulevard will be closed in both directions between Wilshire Boulevard and Century Park East from about 9 a.m. to midnight.

North Whittier Drive will be closed off at the intersection of Lomitas Avenue and Walden Drive. Trenton Drive at Wilshire Boulevard will also be closed.

According to Total Traffic Los Angeles, the following Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus routes will be affected:

  • Line 4/704 eastbound will use the regular route to North Santa Monica Boulevard and Century Park West, then continue down South Santa Monica Boulevard (local access) to Roxbury Drive, up Roxbury Drive and back to North Santa Monica Boulevard.
  • Line 4/704 westbound will use the regular route along North Santa Monica Boulevard to Camden Drive, then head left on Bedford Drive to South Santa Monica Boulevard back to North Santa Monica Boulevard.
  • Line 16 eastbound will use the regular route to North Santa Monica Boulevard and Avenue of the Stars. Then it will branch off to South Santa Monica Boulevard, go left at Roxbury Drive and back to North Santa Monica Boulevard and the regular route.
  • Line 16 westbound will take the regular route along North Santa Monica Boulevard to Camden Drive, then go left on Bedford Drive to South Santa Monica Boulevard and back to North Santa Monica Boulevard.
