High Surf Advisory Issued For Santa Monica

Big waves are expected to hit Santa Monica beach.

As if high winds are not enough, the National Weather Service has issued a high surf advisory for Sunday night through Monday.

Wave sets of 7-9 feet are expected to hit beaches with western exposures. Some waves may top 11 feet in height.

Redondo and Manhattan beaches are primary targets for the high waves, although southwest-facing beaches like Santa Monica and Zuma may also be affected.
